Frequently Asked Questions

Why should you shred?

Shredding confidential documents is the only way to ensure that your private information does not fall into the wrong hands and your company is compliant with state and federal laws.

Protect yourself, your business, and your clients from identity theft with a shredding program.

How does the process work?

Secure Shred’s mobile shredding trucks are equipped with large industrial shredders.

We come to your location on a prescheduled day.

Your documents are then shredded and destroyed on-site at your location so you are confident that your sensitive information will never fall into the wrong hands.

You can watch the entire shredding process as it is happening.

Once your information has been securely shredded and destroyed, you will receive an official Certificate of Destruction with your bill.

The shredded materials will be securely delivered to a recycling facility to be baled for shipment to a Paper Mill for de-inking and pulping.

How are your documents kept safe before they are shredded?

Customers with recurring service are provided with secure, lockable bins for storing all sensitive and confidential documents.

Our Shred Technicians will maintain the security of your Shredding Bin as it is transported from your office to our mobile shredding truck, where the contents will be shredded and destroyed.

The shredded materials will be securely delivered to a recycling facility to be baled for shipment to a Paper Mill for de-inking and pulping.

Will any employees ever touch your confidential documents?

No, our system is completely hands-free. Once you put your documents into the locked bin, no one will touch your confidential documents before they are shredded and destroyed.

Why Implement a Shred-All Policy?

  • Employees don’t need to make decisions about what needs to be shredded and what doesn’t.
  • Improve office efficiency and organization.
  • Increase productivity by saving time through simplified document disposal rules.
  • Increase protection of your business’ and customers’ confidential information and reduce the risk of malicious information theft.
