Shred Day Events

Host a Shred Truck for Your Community

Shred events, hosted by local organizations, businesses, or charities, provide a secure and eco-friendly way for people to dispose of private documents.

These events are generally open to the public, although that is at the discretion of the company organizing the event. Many events also serve as fundraisers to support local causes. Shred Events raise awareness about information security and help community members securely dispose of confidential files.

Our truck will be stationed outside at the location, where patrons can bring their materials to our mobile shredding unit, and have them shredded on-site. An average event lasts four hours and is typically held at a central, public location.

How Does a Shred Event Work?

1

Arrival

SecureShred will arrive at your location with our mobile shredding truck approximately 30 minutes before the event starts.

2

Preparation

Our team will meet with your representative to position the truck for optimal traffic flow.

3

Loading

A Shred Technician will assist attendees with loading their materials into carts and transferring them into the mobile shredding truck.

4

Observation

Attendees can watch their documents being shredded on a small monitor located on the side of the truck.

5

Transportation

After the event, the shredded material is delivered to a recycling facility, where it is baled and sent to a paper mill for recycling.
